Local eGovernment use Google Maps

Soka City in Saitama Prefecture renewed their Web site and improved the usability and accessibility on October 1st, 2006.

They facilitated the design and management and operation of contents by introducing Contents Management System. The CMS will cost 30 million yen in five years.

Map Guidance Service is one of the renewal example. This service based on "Google Maps" show the place of public facilities, road works, etc.

The reason why they chose Google Maps is that it is free, easy to use, quick response, easy management and maintenance compared with GIS and other map services.

Nishitokyo City in Tokyo is another example of map service powered by Google Maps.

Hi. I am curious about e commerce in Japan. As in, how do we know if the Japan website that are selling things are trustworthy sellers? Are there any thing to differentiate them from fraud website? Thank you!
